Marisa Long is executive vice president of Inspire PR Group. In her role, she provides leadership and mentorship to the Inspire team, guides agency operations and client management and works to expand Inspire’s portfolio and services. She is a recognized strategist with strength in media relations, policy and advocacy communications, social media and integrated marketing. Marisa brings to Inspire expertise and passion in sustainability, corporate social responsibility and social impact communications, and she leads the agency’s practice in those areas.
Prior to Inspire, Marisa spent nearly a decade at the Washington D.C.-based global non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), best known as the creators of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system. As vice president of PR and communications, she led a team that produced several award-winning campaigns; oversaw the development and launch of multiple studies, reports and partnerships; created promotional opportunities for USGBC’s 13,000 member companies; and supported the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo and other USGBC events throughout the country and around the world.
Marisa was previously a vice president at Quinn PR, a NYC-based lifestyle public relations agency where she managed a wide-ranging portfolio of clients. She graduated with honors from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. Marisa has also been recognized as one of PR News’ Top Women in PR and is a sought-after industry speaker and trainer.
Outside of Inspire, you can find Marisa hitting up every park, playground, sports field and restaurant in Grandview Heights where she resides with her two young sons and husband, Matt.
