Shelby joined the Inspire team early in 2018 as the Account Coordinator prior to her graduation from the Ohio State University where she received a degree in agricultural communication. She specializes in developing social media content, writing in a variety of styles, and doing anything relative to graphic design or photography.
Prior to Inspire, Shelby interned for one year with Ohio Corn & Wheat as their communication intern. There she was able to strengthen her skills in communications while developing an understanding for agricultural policy and learning how to effectively communicate with the public on controversial issues. In addition, Shelby interned with the National FFA Organization during their 2017 National Convention in Indianapolis where she served as an on-site photographer. She also worked on a project for the American Guernsey Association, producing a campaign plan to increase their brand recognition and consumer interaction.
Shelby grew up in Sunbury, Ohio on her family’s commercial beef cattle farm. Her love of agriculture grew as she became involved with 4-H and FFA in her youth where she was given opportunities to lead others and serve her community. Shelby is passionate about preserving and promoting agriculture in any way, primarily by communicating with consumers about the industry’s importance and benefits.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys going on road trips and exploring new places, trying new styles of photography, playing with her dog, Wyatt, or hanging out at Barnes & Noble (her favorite place).
What Inspires Me?
I feel inspired when I see passion and excitement in others. I love helping others reach their full potential and do the things they love by helping them make the connections they need to be successful. There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing a hard-working person succeed.
