Shelby is an account associate at Inspire specializing in the development and execution of social media campaigns, writing in a variety of styles and overseeing design for many of her clients.
Shelby has more than three years of experience in the communications field. During college, she interned for Ohio Corn & Wheat and the National FFA Organization in addition to running a social media and brand recognition campaign for the American Guernsey Association. Shelby credits these experiences for strengthening her passion for agriculture issues, policy, campaign management and consumer relations.
At Inspire, she works with several agriculture clients including the Ohio Poultry Association, the Ohio Beef Council, the Ohio Livestock Coalition, United Egg Producers and Versova. Since joining the team, Shelby realized her love for nonprofit work through her involvement with clients like Lutheran Social Services and Double Comfort Foods.
Shelby grew up in Sunbury, Ohio on her family’s commercial beef cattle farm where her love for agriculture began. Through her experiences as an involved member of 4-H and FFA, Shelby was challenged to become a leader, active member of her community and was able to develop personal and professional skills at a young age. Shelby is passionate about preserving and promoting agriculture in any way, primarily by communicating with consumers about the industry’s importance and conveying the commitment farmers share to producing safe, high-quality food products.
Shelby graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in agricultural communication. In her free time, Shelby enjoys traveling, reading, taking pictures and spending time on the lake with family.
