Columbus, Ohio – (Oct. 1, 2019) – Leading Columbus-based, national PR firm, Inspire PR Group, announces recognized communications strategist Marisa Long as executive vice president. In this position, Long will guide agency operations and client management and will broaden Inspire’s portfolio and services, including the growth of its corporate, sustainability and social impact practices.

Since its founding in 2014, Inspire has doubled its annual revenues, and the team has expanded to 15 employees. In 2019, the agency’s revenue is on track to exceed 2018 by 25 percent. The firm recently opened an office in North Carolina and is focused on east coast and southeastern U.S. expansion, as well as advancing the company’s work throughout the Midwest.

Inspire veterans Diane Hurd and Hana Bieliauskas have both been promoted to vice president roles where they will enhance their leadership positions within the firm, while continuing to provide strategic guidance and support to clients. Bieliauskas, who is based in Asheville, N.C., will also lead the Inspire South office.

“Bringing Marisa to Inspire to lead our outstanding team of communicators is an important step in assuring the longevity of our firm and positioning Inspire for intentional growth,” said Hinda Mitchell, president and founder, Inspire PR Group. “Planning for our future under these experienced leaders is a smart path for our agency, and I am thrilled and proud to work with Marisa, Diane and Hana to identify new opportunities, develop our team and continue to provide significant value to our clients.”

Long is a seasoned communications professional and storyteller with expertise in media relations, policy and advocacy communications, social media and integrated marketing. She joins Inspire PR Group after nearly a decade at the Washington D.C.-based global non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), best known as the creators of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system.

As vice president of PR and communications, Long led a team that produced several award-winning campaigns; oversaw the development and launch of multiple studies, reports and partnerships; created promotional opportunities for USGBC’s 13,000 member companies; and supported the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo and other USGBC events throughout the country and around the world.

Prior to USGBC, Long was a vice president at a NYC-based lifestyle public relations agency where she managed a wide-ranging portfolio of clients. She is a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. Long has previously been recognized as one of PR News’ Top Women in PR and is a sought-after industry speaker and trainer.

“I look forward to working with Hinda and the team to continue producing meaningful results, while demonstrating Inspire’s long-term commitment to quality PR counsel and exceptional service for current and future clients,” said Long. “The Inspire team brings together expertise from across multiple sectors, industries and disciplines. As the agency positions itself for what’s next, it’s looking to support business leaders who prioritize sustainability, CSR and social impact."

Hurd and Bieliauskas both were part of the founding team of Inspire, and both previously worked alongside Mitchell at other PR agencies. Hurd has been integral to Inspire’s development, shaping internal business operations and providing strategy and counsel to clients who have been served by their team for more than a decade. Bieliauskas directs the firm’s social and digital strategies and now is responsible for business development and client service in the southeastern region of the U.S. Inspire also announced the advancement of special projects manager Katie Lundy, who has been promoted to account supervisor. She will continue to oversee a number of the firm’s leading client accounts, providing media relations counsel, media training and executive coaching.
