Budd Dairy Food Hall Announcement
Founded by entrepreneur Cameron Mitchell in 1993, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR), based in Columbus, Ohio, has built a diverse portfolio of varied concepts, ranging from multi-location upscale destinations to single neighborhood favorites. Today, CMR operates 32 restaurants under 13 different concepts.
In January 2018, the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants team was ready to announce a partnership with a local developer that would bring Columbus’ first-ever food hall to the former Budd Dairy Building in the city’s Italian Village community. The Budd Dairy Food Hall is expected to license spaces to eight to ten entrepreneurial, chef-driven restaurant concepts and will serve as an incubator for new restauranteurs looking to introduce a new concept or grow an existing model.
Inspire was charged with creating a public relations strategy to generate awareness for the Budd Dairy Food Hall in central Ohio. Inspire crafted a press release, key messaging points and executed targeted media outreach to key food and business writers at top regional media outlets to share the news that CMR, known for its genuine hospitality and culinary expertise, would introduce a food hall to provide a trendy, unique dining experience and nurture the growth of new restaurant concepts.
Inspire secured 12 placements in major Central Ohio media outlets such as Columbus Business First, The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Underground, 614 Magazine Online and Columbus Monthly, reaching a potential audience of over 6.1 million.
