Building Awareness for America’s Top Home Health Agency

Interim HealthCare

The Project

Inspire worked with Salo, Inc., the largest franchisee of Interim HealthCare (Interim) to provide public relations and social media support to the Salo, Inc. corporate office, as well as its 60+ branch offices across Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Specifically, Inspire’s goals were to help build a solid public image of the company as both a provider of home health services and as the employer of choice in the home healthcare industry. Inspire created and managed social media communities and advertising efforts, and positioned the Salo, Inc. offices as great places to work in an effort to recruit high-quality talent.

Inspire worked with both the corporate office and branch offices to generate media placements on behalf of the company. To generate coverage, Inspire developed releases to promote relevant company/office news and pitched interview opportunities with Interim representatives to targeted publications. Inspire also coordinated media visits for Interim in Cincinnati and set up several television interviews for the company in Ohio cities including Columbus, Cincinnati, and Lima.

In February 2017, Inspire helped launch an awareness campaign for Salo, Inc. to help promote its new partnership with Rekovo, the company behind the innovative physical therapy software Agile Art.  Inspire developed media materials including a press release, targeted media lists, a fact sheet and detailed brochure. Inspire then worked with the founders of Agile Art and with the Interim team across many markets to coordinate interviews and media visits to Interim clients’ homes to see the software in action.

Inspire served as the community manager for more than 25 Interim HealthCare local office Facebook pages. Inspire shared relevant and valuable information with the offices’ audiences, grew the number of likes on the pages and leveraged Facebook to spread the word to the local communities where Interim offices are located about the meaningful work Interim does. Inspire worked with local office managers to stay up-to-date with the happenings at the organization and outlined certain areas of information needed to implement the social media strategy.

Inspire also leveraged Interim’s social media channels to support its recruitment and hiring through using Facebook advertising to market in numerous areas across Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. By building targeted Facebook audiences, Inspire was able share specific career opportunities with relevant, potential applicants. Through these targeted ads, Inspire not only raised awareness for Interim’s hiring needs but also positioned the company as an employer of choice in local communities.

Inspire also managed Interim HealthCare’s Twitter profiles and Salo, Inc.’s LinkedIn profile, as well as designed social media graphics that aligned with Interim HealthCare’s corporate branding.

The Results

  • Inspire secured several placements in notable regional and national publications, such as Franchise Times, Columbus CEO, Columbus Business First and the Cincinnati Enquirer, and coordinated in-person interviews for local Interim representatives on regional news networks such as Daytime Columbus, Good Day Columbus, WLWT Cincinnati, and NBC Lima. In addition, Inspire secured numerous placements announcing regional and national awards that Salo, Inc.’s branch offices won in local publications.
  • Inspire earned more than 14 placements covering the Interim and Rekovo partnership, resulting in 7,564,084 gross impressions and an editorial value of $240,569.
  • When Inspire helped to consistently post office news and accomplishments on the Interim Facebook pages, the offices saw higher engagement rates and built local community support. For example, during a week-long Facebook advertising campaign, the Interim HealthCare of Columbus Facebook page earned four times the engaged users than the entire month prior. The Interim HealthCare of Cincinnati Facebook page reached 25,200 more users when running an advertising campaign.
  • Interim HealthCare’s careers site, CareersByWeb, saw a significant increase in traffic when running Facebook advertising campaigns. More than 350 potential applicants were referred to the site through a single Facebook advertisement on the Interim HealthCare of Erie, Pennsylvania, page.
