Ocean Prime Orlando Exclusive Blogger Event
Ocean Prime is a modern American restaurant and lounge from renowned restaurateur Cameron Mitchell. The Orlando restaurant is one of 14 locations throughout the country. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) was interested in further raising awareness with local residents and visitors about the Ocean Prime Orlando location. Specifically, CMR wanted to invite a group of prominent local food and dining bloggers to the restaurant for an intimate event to promote the Orlando restaurant’s convenient location, near Universal Studios, showcase its award-winning menu and its gorgeous space. In addition, CMR wanted to provide a sneak peek at the dishes that would be featured during Orlando’s Magical Dining Week in September.
Inspire identified nine influential Central Florida bloggers to invite to the event, which was set for early August. Inspire worked with the Cameron Mitchell and Ocean Prime Orlando teams to plan a two-hour private evening event, hosted in the restaurant’s spacious private dining room, which was well-lit to encourage great photos. Inspire recommended the menu include a variety of Ocean Prime’s best dishes and beverages, so the bloggers could sample a wide variety of menu items. Also, the head chef and general manager were brought into the planning conversations so they could talk with the bloggers about the restaurant’s history, vision and menu.
- The nine bloggers who attended the event were delighted with the menu and the set-up of the evening’s program. Many had never been to Ocean Prime so were excited to have the chance to taste so many different dishes and talk with the team. Also, most of the bloggers knew one another, so they were eager to converse and compare their thoughts on the menu and the restaurant, which made the evening fun and successful
- The bloggers who attended were extremely well-networked on social media, having a combined 119,896 social media followers, including 38,085 Facebook fans, 52,878 Twitter followers, and 28,933 Instagram followers. During and following the event, the bloggers shared 203 social media posts about their experience, including:
